The Railway Conductor Model Shop
Developed in the 1960's, the class 47 became one of the flag ship locomotives used by BR. A total of 512 locomotives were built at Crewe and the Falcon works in Loughborough. This made the class 47 the numerous mainline diesel locomotive ever built. Over the next few decades Sub classes were introduced including the 47/3, 47/7 and 47/8. These classes all had their own unique features and many of them were sold by BR to private sector railways such as Freightliner, Railfreight and EWS. Lots of the Class 47's are still used for mainline freight.
This model includes a fitted DCC decoder and TTS sound system. This gives added realism at a great value for money.
