Hornby R60217 Campbells Soups Ltd PVA Van, OO Gauge, 1:76 Scale, Era 8

This super wagon bears the famous Campbell Soups livery and is sure to be a favourite in any collection or layout.

This type of rail van introduced in the mid 1980s in limited numbers. While variations existed the main build of the wagon remained the same, a curtain sided private owner wagon with air or vacuum brakes. Being that the vans were curtain sided similar to a road transport trailer, they often carried the liveries of the company that they worked for. Wagons would have a working capacity of around 31 tonnes. Much of the fleet would be purchased by the Ministry of Defence when they fell out of use as a domestic freight wagon.
