Hornby R3653 BR, Class 50, Co-Co 50040 'Leviathan'
50040 left left English Electric's Vulcan Foundry on September 25, 1968 and entered service as D440. Renumbering under TOPS came on December 31, 1973 and the locomotive was named first as Leviathan on September 15, 1978, then Centurion on July 5, 1987.50040 worked its last train in August 1989 and was withdrawn during August 1990. Stripped of parts, the locomotive was stored at Coventry Railway Centre before being scrapped in July 2008.
