Dapol 2D-001-022 N Gauge Class 33/1 33114 "Ashford 150" Network South East.

This superb DDC fitted N gauge model features a detailed 1:148 scale body with etched grills, cast RP25.72 darkened wheels with pin point bearings, tungsten chassis with all wheel pickup driving a new 5 pole super creep motor with huge pulling power and incredible slow running speed.

Standard and easi-fit magnetic couplers are included, along with directional lighting and an accessory pack with spares and extra separately fitted details.

It measures 100mm (length including buffers) by 18mm (width) by 26mm (height).

The British Rail Class 33 is a class of Bo-Bo diesel-electric Locomotive built by BRCW for the Southern Region of British Railways between 1960 and 1962. A total of 98 Class 33’s were originally built and bore the numbers D6500 – D6597.

The Class was affectionately known as ‘Cromptons’ after the Crompton Parkinson electrical equipment installed in them. These locomotives were able to haul both passenger and freight stock with ease. They shared many features with their lesser powered sisters the Class 26 and Class 27.

In all 26 examples of the class 33 survive into preservation.
