This 1:76 scale diecast model Ford Consul Capri creates iconic scenic detail on 00 gauge model railway layouts.

The Oxford Diecast 1:76 scale model is finished in pure white with silver trim. The interior is black but a splash of vibrant red has been added to seats and flooring. The registration plate reads 117 FXM.

Ford launched the Consul Capri in September 1961 to great acclaim but the first 200 were made with left hand drive for the export market which must have frustrated eager UK motorists! The car boasted sweeping lines with a two-door configuration, a large boot and a pillarless coupé roof. Further up-market features included a four headlight configuration, variable speed wipers, front disc brakes, dimming dashboard lights and even a cigarette lighter. The four-speed transmission also offered a column or floor change option. The Ford Consul Capri was a very attractive car in its day incorporating a hint of its Ford stable mates the Thunderbird and Galaxie Sunliner.
