Sir Nigel Gresley (1876-1941) was one of the most prominent locomotive designers of the steam era of British railways.He also spent many years designing coaches and carriages for the Great Northern Railway. His coaches were stylish and modern and set the standards for British transportation at the time.

This model features a highly detailed body, underframe and bogies and an innovative light bar feature where an optional Dapol light bar (yellow for incandescent glow) can be easily fitted.
